These two buffers are dedicated for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae problem. MICROBE-LIFT/Aqua Alkaline Buffer, when combined with MICROBE-LIFT/Aqua Acid Buffer, will buffer between 6.0 and 8.7. It is very gentle, safe and revitalizes the freshwater environment. This product is compatible with all other MICROBE-LIFT Buffers.

Decreases Ammonia & Nitrite Toxicity For SALT & FRESH WATER Contains: Nitrosomona and Nitrobactor MICROBE-LIFT/Nite-Out II is designed specifically for aquarium waters that contain marine life. Its highly-specialized microbial consortium of nitrifying cultures are specially formulated to eliminate ammonia via a natural biological process termed nitrification. The cultures contain in MICROBE-LIFT/Nite-Out II will establish, promote or stabilize and maintain nitrification in aquarium waters, eliminating the toxic effect of ammonia. MICROBE-LIFT/Nite-Out II liquid nitrifying bacteria contains select strains of Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter. Nitrosomonas oxidize ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter oxidize nitrite to nitrate. MICROBE-LIFT/Nite-Out II comprises select microorganisms that are autotrophic - able to use carbon dioxide as the sole source of carbon - and are relatively slow growing, requiring specific conditions for optimum growth with typical cell divisions rates from 8 to 16 hours. Their performance and rate growth is impacted by the environmental parameters required for nitrification.

DISCONTINUED DOWNLOAD SDS MICROBE-LIFT/Water Conditioner for Arowana is a full-function water conditioner in a single product. It has been formulated to condition new water (instantly "ages"). It should be used when setting up a new aquarium, making water changes and when adding new fish or plants. MICROBE-LIFT/Water Conditioner for Arowana has been formulated with buffers to help stabilize the treated water’s pH and alkalinity (acid-neutralizing capacity). It removes both ammonia and chlorine by chemically reacting with them. Essential electrolytes not only assist in buffering, but also assist in preventing osmotic shock often caused by new water. Water Conditioner for Arowana detoxifies heavy metals (e.g. copper and lead) by both chelation and precipitation

Detoxifies nitrite

Adds a multi-part skin-slime replacer
Adds essential electrolytes

Recommendations

Perform regular water changes to keep the alkalinity (acid-neutralizing capacity) and pH stable.
Use MICROBE-LIFT/Water Conditioner for Arowana, at the standard dosage rate, to eliminate and control each measured 1 mg/L, or fraction thereof, of total ammonia.
Use a salicylate (indolphenol) type total ammonia test kit.
For dissolved oxygen testing use either a DO meter or an indigo carmine test.

Contraindications

Do not use with permanganate-based or chlorite-based treatments.
Nessler’s total ammonia tests will give false, high (or off scale) readings.
Winkler dissolved oxygen tests will give false, low (or zero) readings.
The MICROBE-LIFT/Ammonia Test Strips are salicylate based and work well with this product.
